Pet Dog Training Classes
To book please email me on: moordogtraining@sky.com
Moor Dog Training was given 'Listed Club' status in 2007, which means we are approved by the Kennel Club to perform the exercises from the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme within their class format.

Moor Dog Training split classes into Bronze, Silver and Gold level classes.

You are under no obligation to take the Good Citizen tests, but it is a very worthwhile achievement for you and your dog. However, we do our own awards for those that do not want to take the official test because it is nice to receive a certificate and rosette for all your hard work.

Bronze:

Bronze level comprises of 11 exercises (indoor), performed by you and your dog, plus a basic Q&A of responsibility and care. An information sheet is given on enrolment.

Silver:

Silver level comprises of 11 exercises (indoor and outdoor), performed by you and your dog, plus an intermediate level of Q&A of reasonability and care. An information sheet is given on enrolment or upgrade from Bronze level.

Gold:

Gold level comprises of 11 exercises (indoor and outdoor), performed by you and your dog, plus more difficult Q&A of responsibility and care. An information sheet is given on enrolment or upgrade from Silver level.
Please note:

Dogs are required to learn to settle at the side of their owners, as if waiting in a Veterinary surgery waiting room or sitting with their owners at an outside cafe.

I cannot take dogs that display aggressive behaviour to other dogs and/or people into a class environment, for safety reasons to my clients and their dogs but also, some dogs cannot cope well and become very stressed.

Any behaviour modification with a dog that displays aggression, needs to be done within the home environment. it is not a case that the dog, 'just needs socialising,' because the dog may display aggression due to being over-socialised.
